On May 1st, members of Squadron 61 participated in a California Civil Air Patrol, Group 4, Search and Rescue Exercise (SAREX) at Santa Maria Airport. Over 20 members participated in Air Crew Training, Ground Team Training and Base Staff Training to ensure the readiness of the Civil Air Patrol for emergency situations. COVID-19 protocols were carefully followed during the training. Further SAREX training is planned for the upcoming summer months.
